The Cargobox Management Team has been carefully composed around Henk G. Hilders, the inventor and developer of Cargobox. Senior experts from the air cargo industry with long term operational and commercial experience together with some young inspired graduates in business development and ICT. Together they form the ideal team to execute the Cargobox pilot project and subsequent market introduction.

Henk G. Hilders

Henk has over 25 years of R&D, Production and Marketing experience in Advanced Composites, mainly dedicated to the Aerospace Industry, both in Europe and the USA. The last nine years (as from 2001 and on) have been completely devoted to the design and further development of the Cargobox concept. The focal point during the last three years has been to precisely define the required RFID Technology, the selection of available hardware products on the market, to fine-tune the software system requirements and to bring these components together into a perfectly functioning system.

Derk M. Herkemij

Derk has extensive international commercial experience with an economic background. His highly driven personality enables him to develop and maintain senior executive relationships with target customers. Derk works with passion and dedication to pioneer the new ideas and opportunities that the Cargobox concept offers to future customers. He has 13 years experience in business to business markets and 2,5 years experience in business to consumer environments. His education includes both technology and commercial aspects, which make him a valuable member of the Cargobox team. Derk holds both a Masters in Economics from the University of Amsterdam and a Masters of Business in Management (MBM) from the TSM Business School. Derk joined Cargobox in April 2011.

Hans Koomen

Hans has significant experience in the high value segment of the air freight sector. This experience is valuable for the further development of the Cargobox Concept. Hans is primarily responsible for the development of the ICT, including GPS, GPRS and RFID technology, concept of the Cargobox. This development will take place in close collaboration with the air cargo industry, including potential customers, authorities and so on. In addition, Hans will be involved in the realisation of the Pilot Project which aims to test the Cargobox concept and quantify its advantages. Hans joined Cargobox in May 2011.
